One big leap for Gulfstream!
On December 16, the American aviation company based in Savannah, Georgia announced the delivery of the first European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA)-certified G600 to an anonymous operator based in Europe, further growing the next-generation fleet of G600s internationally!
The G600 received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) type and production certification back in June 2019, with the first delivery in the United States taking place back in August 2019. In addition to FAA and now EASA certification, the G600 also holds type certification validation from aviation agencies in Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Isle of Man, San Marino and Mexico.
Only recently, Gulfstream announced enhancing the performance of its G600 for the third time. Thus, customers in Europe and around the world will get even more from the All-American aircraft! Powered by Pratt and Whitney PW815G engines, the G600 can now operate at the near-supersonic speed of 0.925 Mach. The boosted range of the G600 at its long-range cruising speed of 0.85 Mach is 6’600 nm, equivalent to 12’223 km, more than enough to connect far-flung cities across the globe! The maximum cruising altitude of the aircraft is around 15’545 m.
The G600 has space to seat up to 19 passengers in its spacious and peaceful award-winning cabin that can be configured with up to 4 living areas. The G600’s low cabin altitude, abundant natural light sweeping in through 14 panoramic windows, never recirculated air, and award winning seats that combine style, functionality and comfort all at the same time, ensure passenger comfort aboard the aircraft and reduce passenger fatigue and jetlag after landing.
Avionics wise, the G600 is equipped with Gulfstream’s state-of-the-art Symmetry Flight Deck TM. The modern flight deck features active control sidekicks that increase visual and tactile feedback between pilots. To enhance operational efficiency and reduce cockpit workload, the flight deck is equipped with a whopping 10 touch screen displays and Phase-of-FlightTM intelligence.
To boost situational awareness, the flight deck is equipped with Enhanced Flight Vision System (EFVS), which allows pilots to land safely in low-visibility conditions. The Synthetic Vision- Primary Flight Display even features 3D graphics of terrains and runways.
The all-new Gulfstream G600 is one sophisticated adventurer indeed, a stylish, safe yet outstanding performer equipped with advanced cockpit technologies!
That’s all for December 2020, peeps!
Until next year!
