COVID-19 strikes… again! Due to heightened international concerns related to the ongoing pandemic, the Middle East Business Aviation Association (MEBAA) regretfully announced that the highly anticipated MEBAA Show has been rescheduled to February 22 until February 24, 2021. In fact, numerous aviation events scheduled to take place this year have been cancelled or postponed due to the ongoing challenges posed by the pandemic around the world. We will list most of the cancelled or postponed aviation events or shows in an upcoming article very soon.
The MEBAA team announced that the disappointing decision to postpone the event comes in the best overall interest of everyone: staff, exhibitors, contractors and visitors. Taking into consideration governmental travel restrictions as well as social distancing and health safety recommendations, the choice to reschedule rather hopes of a better quality event for the entire business aviation community next year in Dubai, UAE.
MEBAA is the official representative of the business aviation industry in the MENA region. It is also a member of the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC). Founded in 2006, MEBAA is a non-profit organization that aims to provide a common platform for members in the business aviation industry in the Middle East and North Africa region to convene, understand and communicate the needs and benefits of the industry, ultimately shaping the future of business aviation in the region.
The main goal at the time being is to provide the business aviation community with well-needed support to step into a hopefully speedy post-pandemic recovery.
In addition to displaying the most updated technologies, insights and business opportunities that shape the future of business aviation in the region, the 2021 MEBAA team is working hard on several new valuable initiatives of benefit to all attendees. Initiatives include access to hours’ worth of new content through thought-leadership seminars and workshops on the outlook of the business aviation industry, as well as post-pandemic recovery strategies.
Moreover, a novel dedicated pre-arranged meetings program is being implemented to facilitate networking between exhibitors and buyers. The novel Luxury Travel Operators segment will allow attendees to network with regional and global high-end travel operators.
