The easy Report: Business Aviation News
Business aviation spend-management solutions provider MySky has launched MySky Quote. MySky Quote is a predictive costs tool that allows operators others to forecast the cost of a charter flight with 96% accuracy. The tool also provides an estimate for each leg of the flight in under 10 seconds. MySky is based in Geneva, Switzerland.
Business jet deliveries continue to swing upwards. A consultant with Brian Foley Associates, Brian Foley forecasts close to 700 business jet deliveries in 2021. In 2022, business jet deliveries will continue to rise and could exceed 900 business jets.
On Monday, September 27, Gulfstream Aerospace announced that it has delivered its 50th G600 business jet to an undisclosed customer in North America. The G600 entered service in August 2019.
On September 1, 2021, Gulfstream announced that its all-new G700 set its very first international city-pair speed records. The speed records were set from Savannah to Doha, Qatar, and then from Doha to Paris, France. The all-new G700 is the largest aircraft in Gulfstream’s fleet, and one of the fastest private jets in the world. It is expected to enter service in 2022.
In a virtual launch event on September 14, Bombardier unveiled its latest addition to the Challenger family, the Challenger 3500. The Challenger 3500 is a super-midsize business jet that can seat up to 10 passengers. It has a range of 3’400 nm and can reach a maximum speed of 0.83 Mach. Bombardier expects that the new Challenger will be ready to enter into service by the second half of next year, 2022. The Challenger 3500 features several cockpit and cabin electronics advancements that first debuted on Bombardier’s Global 7500.
In September, Bye Aerospace announced that KLM Flight Academy, based at Groningen Airport Elde in the Netherlands, has completed purchase deposits for six all-electric eFlyer 2 and eight all-electric eFlyer 4 airplanes.
Jet Luxe, a global company passionate about luxury travel and private aviation based in Dubai has launched a global private business jet charter, aircraft management, and travel management company. Jet Luxe has regional bases in the Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America, the US, and the Middle East.
The easy Report: Space News
According to a CNBC article on September 2, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grounded Virgin Galactic, as the federal regulator investigates the company’s previous space flight that carried founder Richard Branson. FAA officials are concerned about a deviation by the SpaceShipTwo spacecraft during its flight on July 11.
The easy Report: Sustainable Aviation News
On September 7, the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) announced its new partnership with Carbon Trade Exchange (CTX) to provide a transparent and efficient platform for business aviation companies to purchase carbon credits to offset their carbon dioxide emissions.
During the NBAA Business Aviation Sustainability Summit on September 23, U.S. agency executives described steps the federal government is taking to promote the development of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) and promised to continue their advancement.
